Job Summary
The Healthcare Licensing Officer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end licensing and credentialing process for healthcare professionals and facilities, ensuring full compliance with the regulations of relevant UAE health authorities (e.g., DOH, DHA, MOHAP). The role involves liaison with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and candidates to facilitate timely approvals and maintain up-to-date records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the licensing process for healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, allied health) and facilities in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations.
- Submit and monitor applications on behalf of staff through licensing portals such as DoH TAMM, DHA Sheryan, and MOHAP eServices.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, verified, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing laws, health authority circulars, and policy changes.
- Follow up with health authorities to expedite pending applications or resolve issues.
- Liaise with HR and recruitment teams to ensure timely onboarding of licensed personnel.
- Keep accurate records and reports related to licenses, renewals, cancellations, and timelines.
- Assist with audits or inspections by providing licensing documentation and compliance records.
- Provide guidance to internal teams and new joiners about licensing procedures and required qualifications.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Certification or training in UAE healthcare regulatory compliance is an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of proven experience in healthcare licensing or regulatory affairs within the UAE.
- Hands-on experience with licensing portals (DoH, DHA, MOHAP) is mandatory.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of UAE healthcare licensing laws and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online government systems.
- Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
