About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within the UAE and a strong understanding of local regulations, cultural considerations, and community support systems. This role is essential in providing psychosocial support, advocating for patients, and coordinating care to enhance overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ social, emotional, and environmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized care and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, government entities, and community organizations within the UAE
- Assist patients in accessing social services, financial assistance, and community resources
- Advocate for patients’ rights while ensuring culturally sensitive care
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws, ethical standards, and organizational policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience within the UAE
- Valid DOH license or eligibility is required
- Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare systems, social services, and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills
- Ability to manage sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred
