Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist specializing in postpartum rehabilitation to support mothers during their recovery journey after childbirth. The ideal candidate will have experience in postpartum care and specialized training or certification related to women’s health, postpartum rehabilitation, or maternal recovery.

The Physical Therapist will provide rehabilitation programs designed to help postpartum mothers improve strength, mobility, posture, and overall physical well-being after pregnancy and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of postpartum mothers to identify physical concerns and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized postpartum rehabilitation programs.
• Provide therapeutic exercises to improve core strength, mobility, flexibility, posture, and functional movement.
• Support mothers recovering after vaginal delivery and Cesarean section (C-section).
• Address common postpartum concerns, including:
  • Core weakness
  • Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
  • Back pain and pelvic discomfort
  • Postural changes after pregnancy
  • Reduced strength and mobility
• Educate mothers on safe exercises, body mechanics, and gradual return to daily activities.
• Monitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation plans as needed.
• Provide home-based rehabilitation sessions when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive postpartum care.

Requirements

• Licensed/qualified Physical Therapist with relevant clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Previous experience in postpartum rehabilitation, women’s health physiotherapy, or maternal care is highly preferred.
• Certification or additional training in Postpartum Rehabilitation, Women’s Health, Pelvic Health, or related fields is required.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach when working with postpartum mothers.
• Ability to educate and support mothers throughout their recovery journey.
