The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the efficient operation of systems, networks, and IT services. The role involves supervising IT support activities, coordinating with internal departments and vendors, maintaining system security and reliability, and supporting the preparation of technical proposals and tenders. The IT Supervisor will also contribute to the development of technical documentation, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the IT department and ensure smooth functioning of all IT systems and services.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, servers, endpoints, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and security across all IT environments.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead and supervise IT support staff and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for complex IT problems.
- Coordinate support activities and ensure service levels are maintained.
- Manage IT service requests, incident response, and escalation processes.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
- Support vulnerability management, system hardening, and security monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to maintain a secure IT environment.
- Prepare and develop technical tender documents, including technical proposals, scope of work, and compliance matrices.
- Review Request for Proposals (RFPs), RFQs, and tenders to identify technical requirements and submission criteria.
- Collaborate with business development and technical teams to prepare competitive technical responses.
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution descriptions required for tender submissions.
- Ensure technical proposals align with client specifications and organizational capabilities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and system upgrades.
- Support IT-related projects including implementation, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor vendor performance and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, performance metrics, and system status updates.
- Assist management in planning IT improvements and technology upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, Microsoft, or CompTIA are preferred.
Experience
4–7 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure management. Experience supervising IT support teams. Experience preparing technical tenders, RFP responses, or technical proposals is highly preferred.
